Thank you for your interest in The Cheadle Academy. We are an 11-18 converter academy with 463 students on roll, located in the town of Cheadle in North Staffordshire. Our aim is to develop a strong partnership between the academy, students and the wider community to secure an outstanding learning experience for everyone. Support Staff 


Business Manager

Salary: Grade 12 - £52,571 to £56,766

37 hours per week 8am – 4pm

Start Date as soon as possible


Due to the retirement of our existing postholder, we are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join our team as our School Business Manager. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of The Cheadle Academy, working as part of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver best value and achieve high standards that will significantly impact the life chances of our students. 


Key Responsibilities:

Chief Financial Officer: Oversee financial management, budgeting, and payroll administration. 

Human Resources: Manage HR processes and contribute to the development of a positive working environment. 

Facilities/Contract Management: Ensure the effective management of school facilities and contracts.

Catering: Oversee catering services to ensure a high standard of provision for students and staff. 

Health and Safety: Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to maintain a safe learning environment. 

Best Value Project Management: Drive initiatives that enhance efficiency and value across the school. 


Qualifications and Experience:  Proven experience in financial management, HR, and facilities management. 

Strong organisational and project management skills. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 

A strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the overall vision of the school.
